Hyperliquid's policy team asked SEC to make airdrops to americans safe. 1. they want "free airdrop = not a security" written into the rule itself. so drops to US users stop being a legal gamble 2. connecting a wallet or passing a sanctions check to claim shouldn't count as paying. translation: americans get checked at claim instead of geoblocked 3. they're fine with "tasks after the announcement = you paid for the tokens". so don't wait for a "season 2, go farm" post. if a drop comes, it's based on what you already did 4. they want these tokens tradeable in the US from day one, through onchain protocols too. aka on hyperliquid itself if @HyperliquidX drops again, it's a silent snapshot. you won't get a heads up.
