Something that struck me as particularly remarkable was learning that there is a local password manager. KeePassXC is stored on our computer, meaning it never needs to connect to the internet to function. We can create a database, save it wherever we prefer, and once we’ve completed the setup, we simply use the program. The key point I want to highlight is that if we know and remember the master password, we can transfer the .kdbx file to any other device. For example, I imagine carrying it on a USB drive during travel—of course, with appropriate precautions—to have secure access to whatever we need, especially given the principle of digital minimalism. In fact, an even more advanced idea would be to store a seed phrase within the password manager itself, encoded using keywords arranged creatively across fields like username, labels, notes, URLs, titles, and so on, to generate entropy. I know this sounds unusual, but if we needed to restore a wallet on a newly purchased phone, then visit an exchange to complete a transaction—all to avoid using something with extensive metadata accumulated over time—why not consider it? Or at least, propose it, since we are free to decide how to manage our capital. All of this, of course, with the goal of preserving it and making the most informed decisions possible. Honestly, studying directly with @BoringPrivacy alongside @StarkPrivacy has introduced me to entirely new concepts I’d never encountered before—and has inspired me to imagine countless other ways to protect our privacy.
