Sunday thought: We have Do Not Disturb for our peace, Social for our connections, and Work for getting things done. Maybe the next mode the AI economy needs is Accountability Mode. Think about it. An AI agent can now discover a service, make a request and pay in USDC. XDC AI is building around that reality with payments powered by x402. But if an agent acts on behalf of a business, one question matters just as much as whether the payment went through: WHO STANDS BEHIND THE AGENT? That is where the recent partnership between @Concordium and @XDCNetwork gets interesting. Concordium’s Agent Registry and Verified by Concordium badge allow an AI agent on XDC AI to prove that a verified person or business stands behind it, without publicly exposing the owner’s personal identity. The agent keeps its XDC wallet and operations. The identity layer adds something important: a way to verify who is accountable. And that distinction matters. Verification does not mean an AI agent will always behave correctly. It means there is a verified party behind it who can be held accountable under the applicable legal process. As AI agents move from answering questions to making payments and conducting business, knowing what an agent can do is only part of the picture. We also need to know who stands behind the actions it takes. That is what makes Accountability Mode worth thinking about this Sunday. Autonomous does not have to mean unaccountable. concordium:native
