A map can tell you where something is, but the world doesn’t always stay the same. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I was thinking about this yesterday, and it made me look at @vangrid_io ’s Autonomous Logistics use case a little differently. • Routing: Fresh data can help vehicles adjust their routes. • Obstacles: New observations can help spot changes on the road. • Fleet coordination: Different vehicles can work with a more updated view of their surroundings. --------------------------------------------------------- That’s the part I find interesting. Autonomous vehicles don’t just need maps. They need a view of what is happening around them right now. --------------------------------------------------------- So if the world keeps changing, how can autonomous vehicles depend on outdated information? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
