The Aareschlucht Gorge in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland Carved by glaciers through limestone, this gorge spans 1.4 km in length, reaches a maximum depth of 200 meters, and narrows to just 1 meter at its tightest point—resembling a landscape sculpted by a divine blade. The water, suspended with fine particles of powdered rock (rock flour or glacial flour), refracts sunlight to appear turquoise.
