.@EmanAbio said the first post-quantum $BTC transaction will happen on @SuiNetwork. Sui is taking another step toward quantum-resistant security. On October 13, Sui Devnet completed its first quantum-safe transaction using ML-DSA-65, a NIST-standardized signature scheme. Here's what's coming: → Q1 2027: Quantum-safe account authentication is targeted for mainnet → Easy upgrade: Users can switch to quantum-resistant keys using their existing recovery phrase → Same wallet: Your address stays the same, your funds don't move, and no extra gas is required → Bitcoin integration: Sui is building a native Bitcoin light client, MPC wallets, and faster Taproot signing So what does this mean for Bitcoin? Through Hashi, BTC can be represented on Sui and used in DeFi. With quantum-safe signatures, users could securely move that BTC representation on Sui without changing the underlying Bitcoin network. Importantly, this protects transactions on Sui, not native BTC held on Bitcoin. So why does this matter? 👇 Sui is moving beyond discussions about quantum security and testing real solutions. Combined with its Bitcoin infrastructure and AI agent development, this could help Sui support more secure financial activity in the future. But it's still early, and mainnet deployment will depend on further testing and audits. The real test is whether users and institutions adopt these features once they're live. What are you most excited about? Quantum-safe accounts or Bitcoin DeFi on Sui? NFA. DYOR.
