most people obsess over hardware vs software wallets and completely miss the actual risk layer on XRPL your seed phrase isn't what controls your tokens. your account's signing key is. and on XRPL you can rotate that key while keeping the same address, no migration needed so "hardware wallet = safe" only holds if you're actually signing with it. a lot of people set it up once then never use it again the key management is in the habit, not the device
