You can be right about the AI boom and still lose money financing it. That’s one of the most important distinctions in the emerging GPU credit market. Two projects I’m watching closely are @USDai_Official and @gaib_ai. https://t.co/DFEy9Yv44k is building a credit market around GPU infrastructure, helping AI operators finance expensive hardware through GPU-backed loans. GAIB is building a broader financial layer around AI infrastructure, connecting capital to opportunities across GPUs, data centers and robotics. I’m bullish on the direction because AI growth requires more than better models. It requires enormous amounts of capital to acquire hardware, expand computing capacity and build the infrastructure behind the industry. These projects are exploring how onchain capital can help finance that expansion. But there’s a distinction worth understanding. More demand for GPUs doesn’t automatically mean better returns for lenders. Borrowers can take on too much debt. Hardware can depreciate faster than expected. Contracts can fail to generate enough cash flow to cover repayments. The opportunity is real, but so is the credit risk. What makes these projects interesting to me is the attempt to connect DeFi with productive infrastructure.
