A hardware wallet doesn’t need to be your everyday Lightning wallet. I’ve been to Ledger’s offices in Paris many times, both the old one near the Opéra and the new one in Le Marais. This was my first visit to their New York office on Union Square. I met with @menzel_clayton, Ledger’s Foundations Business Development Director. We’ve spent months discussing Bitcoin RGB and Lightning support. Our conclusion: Lightning for frequent payments makes more sense in software wallets. @Ledger is where users should be able to hold their USDT on @Bitcoin securely. We finalized the objectives for our agreement around integration of USDT on Bitcoin into Ledger through @utexocom. We also discussed what users could do with those balances inside Ledger, including Bitcoin backed loans and USDT Mint on Demand directly from the interface. The ability to mint USDT on demand could be especially useful for Ledger’s institutional clients. What do you think about minting USDT on demand?
