More than 10M WAL is now staked through haWAL, @HaedalProtocol’s liquid staking token on @WalrusProtocol. This is how it works: → Staking WAL through Haedal gives you haWAL in return. → Rewards show up in the haWAL/WAL exchange rate, which updates every Walrus epoch (about 2 weeks). → Haedal takes a 6% commission on rewards. The principal is not affected. → Regular unstaking takes 1–2 epochs (about 2–4 weeks). Instant unstaking depends on available liquidity and may charge a fee. Unlike native staking, haWAL is transferable and can be used in supported DeFi apps. Its market price can differ from its redemption value, and using it in DeFi adds risks that native staking doesn’t have. NFA. DYOR.
