Jeonbuk Bank's first corporate loan in won against Bitcoin, reported October 12, needed no new law and no regulatory sandbox. It rests on Supreme Court rules that took effect October 1 and let a court sell pledged crypto, so the bank never holds a coin. Why it matters: Jeonbuk Bank's corporate customers can now borrow against their Bitcoin for working capital instead of selling it, and other Korean banks now have a model that fits within current law.
