Personally, I think Matthew Mellon was the one who connected the dots. Matthew Mellon was appointed as Global Ambassador for Ripple Labs around May 2015. According to a WRAL report, he leveraged his connections in the banking industry, among wealthy individuals, and with influential figures to help drive Ripple’s adoption. In 2018, Mellon made a substantial investment in XRP, citing its affinity with bank-focused payment technology and the U.S. financial system as the reason. In March 2018, it was reported that Mellon had dinner with President Donald Trump. That’s likely when Ripple first established its connection to Trump. Brad also met with Caroline Moore, who was serving as a Special Assistant to the President at the White House, in both September and October 2018. Was Trump there too? When you look at it that way, the connection between Ripple and Trump actually goes back quite a while.👀👀
