President Trump: You mentioned autonomous driving technology, and interestingly, Tesla’s name came up. My uncle, Dr. John Trump, was the person commissioned by the U.S. government to investigate Nikola Tesla. The government wanted to know whether Tesla was genuine and whether he was truly a genius. After a relatively brief investigation, my uncle concluded that Tesla was undoubtedly authentic and a truly great genius. Otherwise, we’d have to change the name of the car company. If I had written that report, I might have told Elon, “He wasn’t that big of a deal.” (Laughter) But my uncle was a different kind of person. He gave Tesla the highest possible evaluation and reported, “He was a truly great genius.” That’s wonderful.
