The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially approved a rule change allowing Volatility Shares to list the first-ever 3x leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded products (ETPs) in the United States. The approval marks the highest leverage ratio cleared for crypto funds in the U.S., which were previously capped at 2x leverage. The funds are sponsored by Volatility Shares LLC and approved to list on the Cboe BZX Exchange.
