ETHEREUM IS TESTING A 3.3× HIGHER GAS LIMIT 60 million → 200 million gas per block. That is the allowance for how much computational work each block can contain. Today’s Glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled for Sepolia, Ethereum’s public test network. The latest Prysm release sets 200M as its default limit for that test. The upgrade changes how Ethereum handles the workload: validators get more time to check blocks, while independent transactions can be checked in parallel. My bullish takeaway for $ETH: more room for payments, lending and trading directly on Ethereum’s main network, where transaction fees are paid in ETH. Today is a testing milestone. Mainnet timing remains unannounced, and the higher gas limit does not guarantee 3.3× more transactions. The investment opportunity is making Ethereum capable of serving a much larger financial economy.
