ATOM Is Building Again — $1.88 Is the Key

ATOM is consolidating after recovering from the $1.433 September low and reaching $2.031. The current structure is still constructive, but momentum has cooled and MACD is negative, so chasing price is not ideal.

The key demand zone is $1.60–$1.66, while $1.88 and $2.03 remain the major resistance levels.

Fundamentally, Cosmos is undergoing a significant transition. IBC Eureka is connecting Cosmos with Ethereum, while Hydro has completed its migration to the Cosmos Hub.

The bigger catalyst is ATOM tokenomics reform. Gauntlet’s research found that more than 90% of sell-like flows route through centralized exchanges, while Phase 2 is now focused on redesigning issuance and reward mechanisms.

As of October 1, those recommendations were still under review, so this is a developing catalyst rather than a completed change.

Current market data puts ATOM around $1.67–$1.69, with roughly $905M market cap, 533.7M circulating supply, about $93M futures volume, $9.2M spot volume, and $138M open interest.

That large derivatives-to-spot imbalance means leverage is an important risk factor.

Entry: $1.60–$1.66

SL: $1.50

TP1: $1.88

TP2: $2.03

Invalidation: Daily close below $1.50

Confirmation: Hold $1.60–$1.66 and reclaim $1.88 with volume.

From a $1.63 average entry, the setup offers approximately 1.9R to TP1 and 3.1R to TP2.

The thesis stays constructive while the $1.60–$1.66 zone holds.
