Cardano Lands Petrobras. Now It Needs Proven Usage
Petrobras is testing Cardano for two real-world fuel use cases: sustainable aviation fuel and renewable Diesel R.
The SAF system tokenizes environmental attributes as CS-SAF, with metadata aligned to CORSIA, while the Diesel R application tracks production, transport and use. The goal is better traceability and preventing double-counting of environmental claims.
But there is an important caveat: both projects remain research-stage. Petrobras and Cardano have disclosed no fuel volumes or broader deployment timeline.
ADA trades around $0.25, with roughly $9B market cap.
That makes this meaningful infrastructure validation, not yet meaningful economic usage.
