Memecoins just survived one of the ugliest wipeouts in crypto history and they’re starting to twitch again. From a $137–150B peak in late 2024 they collapsed ~80%+. By mid-2026 the whole sector was sitting around $22–35B. Retail left. Launchpads slowed. Most new tokens died in days. Then September happened. DOGE jumped ~17% in a single week. Established names started moving together. Liquidity is rotating back into the “blue-chip memes” while https://t.co/fper60cUox and new launchpads keep printing thousands of tokens a day. The casino never closed , it just got quieter, then louder again. This is still 99% speculation. Most launches go to zero. Volatility is brutal. But when risk-on returns, memes move first and hardest. Top 5 most bought , most watched right now (by market cap and volume): DOGE - Still the king. ~$15B. Liquidity, brand, Elon factor. The one institutions actually recognize. SHIB - The original “DOGE killer.” ~$3.5B. Deep community, still huge volume. PEPE - The frog that refuses to die. ~$1.85B. High volume, high beta. PENGU (Pudgy Penguins) - Brand + merch + Solana heat. Fast mover recently. WIF / BONK / TRUMP - Solana dogs and the political meme. These rotate in and out of the top 5 depending on the day. The pattern is clear: capital first hits the names everyone already knows, then leaks into whatever’s pumping on Solana that week. Memes aren’t dead. They’re just more selective, more brutal, and still the fastest way to make (or lose) money when the market gets greedy again. Which one are you watching this week , the old dogs or the new launchpad lottery? 🐶🐸 NFA. DYOR. Most of these can still go to zero. #Memecoins #Crypto #DOGE #SHIB #PEPE #BONK #WIF #PENGU #Solana #Altcoins #CryptoTwitter #MemeSeason #DYOR #NFA
