THE TOKENIZATION ERA IS MOVING FROM THEORY TO INFRASTRUCTURE

Something important is happening across global finance.

In September 2026, major institutions moved further toward putting traditional financial assets onchain:

• SEC approved temporary relief supporting regulated tokenized stock trading

• DTCC is preparing its tokenization service for October

• ECB launched Pontes for tokenized-asset settlement in central bank money

• NYSE and Blockchain.com are exploring 24/7 tokenized stocks and ETFs

• Major UK banks completed live transactions using tokenized deposits

• Six major Canadian banks are exploring tokenized CAD deposits

• IBM connected its infrastructure with Swift's blockchain-based ledger

• Ondo launched tokenized portfolios built around BlackRock-developed strategies

• Aave enabled eligible users to use Coinbase tokenized stocks as collateral

• ARK Invest moved its venture fund onto tokenized infrastructure

The bigger story isn't one company.

It's the convergence of TradFi, stablecoins, RWAs and DeFi.

Stocks. Funds. Deposits. Collateral. Settlement.

The financial system is increasingly experimenting with blockchain rails for assets that previously lived entirely inside traditional infrastructure.

The question is no longer whether finance will be tokenized.

The question is which networks will capture the value when trillions of dollars of financial assets start moving onchain.
