$FOGO ’s real supply story is bigger than the September 26 unlock.

On September 26, Fogo is scheduled to begin unlocking previously locked allocations for institutional investors, core contributors, Echo participants and advisors. Fogo’s own tokenomics confirms these allocations were subject to a 12-month cliff.

Third-party trackers estimate the September event at roughly 160M+ FOGO, although the exact amount differs between data providers. Tokenomist currently lists September 26 as the next unlock.

What traders may be missing is the second layer.

FOGO is not capped at 10 billion tokens. The project describes 10 billion as its genesis supply and says the network also creates new FOGO at a 2% annual inflation rate through validator rewards.

So there are two different supply forces to track:

1. Vesting: previously locked tokens becoming accessible.

2. Emissions: new tokens being created through network rewards.

That creates a different market dynamic than a simple one-day unlock.

The trade-off is straightforward: emissions help compensate validators and stakers for securing the network, while vesting increases the amount of previously allocated supply that can potentially become liquid.

For traders, the important signal isn't simply the unlock date.

Watch recipient wallets, exchange inflows, circulating-supply changes and spot volume around September 26.

The interesting question is whether the market absorbs the additional supply—or whether liquidity becomes the constraint.#FOGOUSDT
