A friend of mine saw a job listing, applied, and got invited for an interview. She applied on Friday, and by Monday she had the interview. Shortly after she received the interview invitation, the job listing was taken down. It’s now been a few days since the interview. She hasn’t received either a rejection or an offer, but the job listing has now been put back up. She’s understandably not feeling great about it and thinks it means she didn’t get the job. I told her not to be too hard on herself, to wait for proper feedback, and to keep applying elsewhere in the meantime. What do you guys think? Does putting the job listing back up necessarily mean she didn’t make it?
