In July, I bought a pocketful of $ZEC. Today, I discovered that $NEAR has this deep connection with ZEC—they move almost in perfect sync, and NEAR’s TVL growth is directly correlated with ZEC! I spent some time today researching NEAR’s current positioning, and I’ll break it down simply: First, we must completely abandon the outdated notion that “NEAR is just another ordinary L1.” Put simply: ZEC secures your “money,” while NEAR secures your “business and entire on-chain life.” If ZEC is a highly secure “private vault” in the on-chain world, then NEAR is the high-privacy, cross-chain seamless business highway and intelligent operating system wrapped around that vault. 1️⃣ What exactly is $NEAR building? Before I dug deeper, I likely shared the common misconception from the last cycle—that NEAR was just riding the AI and privacy hype. But that’s not true. NEAR is building the operating system for autonomous AI agents. By 2026, on-chain interaction has fully shifted from humans manually trading on DEXs or chasing yield, to AI agents running strategies 24/7 in the background. NEAR’s mission is to provide these AI agents with a fast, cheap, and highly private foundational environment. We can break NEAR’s core capabilities into four pillars: · Intelligence (Private AI Inference): Leveraging TEEs for confidential computing. Simply put, this allows AI to run strategies and models inside a “black box,” ensuring your data and business secrets never leak to third parties. · Agents (Autonomous Agents): Supports agents with long- and short-term memory that can autonomously invoke on-chain tools and identity credentials, executing tasks fully automatically in isolated environments like IronClaw. · Economy (Cross-chain Settlement & Intents): Through AI-driven NEAR Intents, it enables cross-chain payments, deep aggregation of cross-chain DEX liquidity, and adaptive settlement. Users or AI agents simply input their “final intent,” and the backend routing network automatically executes the fastest possible cross-chain path. · Privacy (Native Embedded Stack): Privacy isn’t just a layer draped over a token—it’s the foundational color of the entire tech stack. From private GPU compute markets and multimodal AI clouds to asset custody within private shards, privacy is embedded at every layer. 2️⃣ NEAR & ZEC: A Powerful Synergy! Many in the market attribute ZEC’s recent rise to short-term regulatory tailwinds (e.g., from the SEC). But this misses the true technical and commercial essence. The synergy between NEAR and ZEC isn’t about hype—it’s a deeply technical and ecological complementarity. ZEC’s Role: A privacy-focused BTC. ZEC focuses exclusively on securing the privacy of funds and transfers—hiding transaction amounts and obscuring sender/receiver addresses. It’s a scarce, native on-chain asset for privacy-preserving value storage. NEAR’s Role: The privacy channel and business extension for ZEC. Even if your ZEC is held in a shielded address, your on-chain behavior—like participating in cross-chain DeFi, opening perpetuals on Hyperliquid, or authorizing funds for AI agents—still leaves traces. NEAR fills this exact gap: Through NEAR’s private shards and cross-chain Intents pathways, ZEC gains confidential traffic entry points and liquidity access across the entire chain ecosystem. Payments: Transfers no longer expose your other assets or historical activities on your main chain. Trading: When buying/selling assets on decentralized markets, your order placement and execution intent cannot be tracked by MEV or public ledgers. Derivatives: When trading Hyperliquid perpetuals, your positions and leverage data are nearly impossible to directly link to your main wallet. In short: ZEC keeps your assets private; NEAR keeps your entire business behavior private. As the volume of ZEC being托管 and流转 within NEAR’s private shards grows, NEAR Intents’ TVL and protocol-captured value will rise in tandem—creating a powerful feedback loop. This is precisely why they move in lockstep. Today, I quietly added more $NEAR. My core thesis rests on three key points: First: Infrastructure Reimagining for the AI Agent Era. NEAR isn’t competing in decentralized compute training—that’s not a blockchain’s strength and was proven unviable in 2024. Instead, it focuses squarely on value settlement, private inference, and tool invocation for AI agents. It’s a blockchain OS with native AI infrastructure capabilities. Second: The most mature implementation of chain abstraction. NEAR Intents is eliminating the complexity of multi-chain interaction entirely. Users and AI agents no longer need to understand how bridges work between ETH, Solana, or ZEC—they simply issue an intent from NEAR’s side, and solvers handle the清算 automatically. Third: Narrative evolution and cash flow capture. NEAR has transformed from a mere “high-TPS L1” into a “privacy + AI + cross-chain intent hub.” Its ecosystem boundaries have expanded infinitely. As private GPU markets, AI clouds, and confidential DeFi within its ecosystem mature, NEAR’s actual network gas consumption and value capture will no longer be limited to NEAR alone—but will stem from the entire cross-chain intelligent agent economy. Combined, these three factors create enormous potential. At $3.50 right now, we’re still in the early bottom phase—better to chase in than miss out! 🧐 DYOR!
