Coconut (@conut_gazua) of this year and the future of Coconut RWA — September 16, 2026 Over the past few years, independent and self-sustaining Web3 projects in Korea have effectively gone extinct. While there are many reasons for this, most appear to have been short-term, moth-like projects or business models bordering on Ponzi schemes. Unrestricted coin issuance has also played a role. Coconut has steadily progressed—from around 2023 to today in 2026 and beyond—taking small but consistent steps. Looking back on the past three years, it was certainly not an easy path. I attended the recent Seoul meetup on the 12th, driven by affection, admiration, and support. Coconut has grown alongside both domestic Web2 and Web3 companies, creating synergies throughout its journey. As we look beyond 2026, I’d like to share some brief reflections based on what I observed at the event. Over the past three years, Coconut has steadily hit milestones—from its newsletter to #CoQuiz and Coconut NFTs. The meetup was filled with around 100 attendees and featured practical, stylish merchandise: insulated bags, heat packs, and tumblers branded with “Coconut.” In 2026, Coconut confidently revealed its metrics: 50,000 CoQuiz downloads, 5,000 MAU, and 1,500 DAU—placing it among projects with high daily engagement. Although its user base remains modest, it has distributed over 700 million KRW in cumulative rewards and demonstrates potential for a 1 billion KRW valuation—pursuing a long-term vision far more sustainable than many other projects. On-chain Key Performance Indicators (as of September 13, 2026): | Category | Detailed Metrics | Notes | |------------------|--------------------------------------|-----------------------------------------| | Transactions | 18,273 total | 15,963 payments / 1,027 Coconut Shop / 1,283 staking | | Community | 3,158 members | Cumulative holders (focused on active users) | | Cumulative Burn | ~9.04 million tokens | Supply control and maximized scarcity | | Coconut Token | ~7,500% increase | All-time high of 38 KRW vs. listing price of 0.5 KRW | Recently, Coconut burned 9.04 million tokens to steadily reduce supply and guide the ecosystem toward sustainability. The Coconut token operates under an “Ultra Sound CONUT” mechanism: “Payment → Fee Burn → Liquidity Reduction,” building multiple deflationary structures. Moreover, alongside the token issuance, Coconut’s tokenomics have been designed with clarity—maintaining high trust among early participants. While there are certainly areas for improvement, the most notable concern is the elevated barrier to entry for new users. Since its inception, Coconut has covered every aspect of crypto—from its past to the present—through its newsletter. Grounded in a Quiz-to-Earn (Q2E) model, it has built and operated a self-sustaining platform where anyone can earn rewards by answering quizzes. Additionally, starting last year, Coconut has been preparing to launch Coconut Shop—a utility-based marketplace using the Coconut token—and is preparing to roll out its own RWA platform (currently in development as an independent app platform). Since last year, Coconut has been developing an RWA platform with Uzbekistan to facilitate more active trading of low-liquidity assets through a digital marketplace. Personally, I sensed the lingering weight of failed government policies from 15 years ago—but considering Uzbekistan’s internal potential, I hope Coconut can move faster toward transparent and sustainable milestones. At the very least, I hope Coconut continues to be a project that is realistic, achievable, honest, and trustworthy—not grandiose or fantastical like so many others. My personal hope is that growth comes not through aggressive advertising targeting new users, but organically—through word-of-mouth and community-driven expansion. Coconut surely understands what the CEO of a recent partner project said: only companies that generate their own revenue will truly harvest the fruits of Web3. “Beyond impossibility—to the future.” Even if progress is delayed, I hope Coconut’s RWA platform takes root firmly and grows alongside its community. Thank you. Writing this after so long, my thoughts may be unstructured—but with KBW approaching in September, things are starting to get busy :)
