🔴 American rapper Macklemore: “I was kicked off Ed Sheeran’s tour for saying ‘Free Palestine.’ Sheeran told me that my words hurt some people. So I asked him: is that more hurtful than the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinian children killed by Israel? He said, ‘I’m not taking sides.’ I understand why—he’s concerned about money, sponsorships, and brand deals. I’ve lost all of that. But there is no neutrality between the oppressor and the oppressed. You cannot remain neutral when one side has bombs and unlimited military support. If saying ‘Free Palestine’ cost me the chance to perform on stage, then it was my most successful tour yet.”
