I was in Belgrade for Solana Summit Serbia to hear Marko Djurdjevic (@SolanaMarko), Co-founder @SuperteamBLKN talk through how we got here, and whether anyone is actually prepared for what comes next. The three dates are the part that matters. In 1991, the internet let information move without asking permission. In 2009, Bitcoin let value move the same way. In 2022, ChatGPT showed that software can act, not only answer. If that order is right, the next user of a blockchain may not be a person with a wallet app. It may be a program that sends payments all day and never walks into a bank. That is why stablecoins matter here. A program cannot open a local account in every country. It needs a dollar that works online, at any hour, with a fee small enough to repeat. Most crypto products are still built for a person who taps a button. That is the old design. Internet capital markets means money that does not wait for a clerk, a border, or office hours. The warning is for builders who still assume the user is patient. Growth so far answers how we got here. It does not answer if we are prepared. Being prepared is building for a user that may be a program, not a person opening an app once a day. A thread 🧵 ↡
