The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Monday approved a supplementary grant of Rs 6.6 billion to purchase 30 bulletproof vehicles for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit planned for September 2027 The ECC meeting, presided over by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, was asked by the Cabinet Division to approve a supplementary grant of Rs 12.6 billion to purchase over 50 bulletproof vehicles for the movement of Heads of State during the SCO Summit. After considerable discussion and deliberation, the ECC approved Rs 6.6 billion for the purchase of 30 bullet-proof vehicles
