$50 became $7,000 overnight on a trade that cannot lose all thanks to new Chat GPT Astra... no human awake. no guessing. no opinion on bitcoin at all. just one line of logic, run a few times a minute while its owner slept: yes + no < $1 let me show you what that means, because it's dumber than it sounds. every 15 minutes, bitcoin gets a market on Polymarket: does it close this window up, or down. up is priced on its own, down is priced on its own. and when the window ends, one of them is worth exactly a dollar and the other is worth zero. so up and down should always add up to a dollar. up at 52, down at 48. always. but they don't. the bot watched up sit at 48 and down sit at 49. that's 97 cents for both sides of a market that pays a dollar no matter what bitcoin does. it bought the pair, waited fifteen minutes, collected the dollar. three cents, locked, before the candle even closed. then it did it again. and again. nine to twelve times a minute, all night, off a fifty dollar stake. now the part everyone gets stuck on. why is it ever 97 cents. why is the money just sitting there. it's the orderbook. up and down are quoted by two different crowds who never look at each other's side. someone dumps a stack of "up," its price ticks up, but "down" is still parked where a seller left it an hour ago, and for a few seconds the two don't add up to a dollar. that's not a glitch and it's not a one-off. it's the resting state of any market nobody is actively arbitraging. bitcoin windows, election markets, sports, the same gap cracks open and closes in all of them, thousands of times a day. that's why this is the single easiest thing you can do on the platform. it's the only edge that doesn't ask you to be right about anything. you're not predicting bitcoin. you're not reading a chart. you're checking whether two numbers add up to less than one, and buying when they don't. now, i told you it cannot lose. that's almost true, and the almost is the whole point. you buy the up leg. it fills. and in the half second before your down order lands, the down price moves and your order doesn't fill. now you're holding one side of the trade, a naked bet on bitcoin going one way, which is the exact thing you were never trying to do. that's a leg miss, and it's the only crack in the entire thing. so finding the gap was never the skill. the gap is obvious, it's one line of code. the skill is landing both legs in the same breath, and pulling the whole trade the instant one side won't fill. get that right and you've got a position with no view and no downside. get it wrong and you're just gambling on bitcoin with extra steps. the full build + my public wallet are in the article below.
