Crypto may have found its consumer wedge. Not another wallet or fintech clone. Social trading. @fomo and @Pumpfun are already reportedly reaching ~60K–100K DAU, while social trading makes up ~33% of Hyperliquid builder-code volume. Yet onchain trading is still <0.5% of global daily traders. That gap is the opportunity. The interesting shift is that trading is becoming social: → trades become content → PnL becomes reputation → traders become creators → followers become potential copy traders @solana and @HyperliquidX provide the rails, while apps like @invoxyz and @LegendTrade are building the consumer layer around them. And speculation has repeatedly been crypto’s distribution wedge. Stablecoins, perps, memecoins and prediction markets all benefited from users chasing opportunity first. The bigger question is what happens after acquisition. If these apps stay focused on memecoins, they may simply create better casinos. But if they expand into perps, prediction markets, tokenized assets, yield and payments, social trading becomes something much larger: a distribution layer for onchain finance. The real battle may not be for the best trading interface. It may be for who controls the financial feed.
