Ethereum is at an interesting point right now: the chart looks weak short-term, but the network’s long-term story is getting more technically ambitious.
$ETH is trading around $1,895, with the 15-minute chart showing rejection from the recent bounce near $1,905–$1,910. Sellers have regained control, while $1,885 remains an important nearby support from the session low.
But price is only one part of the Ethereum thesis.
Ethereum remains the settlement layer for a huge ecosystem of smart contracts, DeFi, stablecoins, and Layer-2 networks. Its current development focus is increasingly centered on scaling, stronger security, better UX, and improving Layer-2 data availability.
The next major upgrade, Glamsterdam, is planned for H2 2026 and targets improvements such as enshrined proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists to help Ethereum scale its Layer-1 infrastructure.
What interests me most is that Ethereum is also thinking further ahead about privacy and post-quantum security.
For ETH, the key question is whether continued technical progress eventually translates into stronger real-world usage and demand.
Do you think Ethereum’s fundamentals can outweigh its current price weakness?
