𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Stablecoins are becoming useful for more than just trading. Businesses can use them to pay suppliers, receive money from customers, move funds between accounts, and settle transactions across borders. But there is one thing that could become a problem as adoption grows: privacy. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗔 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 Imagine a company receives all its USDT payments through one wallet. If that wallet's activity is publicly visible, someone could potentially monitor its incoming payments, outgoing transfers, suppliers, and spending patterns. The blockchain may be transparent, but businesses don't necessarily want their entire financial operation to be transparent. That's where @utexocom is trying to make a difference. 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 + 𝗥𝗚𝗕 + 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 Utexo is building around three important pieces of Bitcoin infrastructure: Bitcoin provides the underlying settlement layer. RGB allows assets such as stablecoins to exist within the Bitcoin ecosystem while keeping much of the asset-related validation off-chain. Lightning can provide fast payment channels for transactions that need speed. Put those pieces together and you get an interesting foundation for stablecoin payments on Bitcoin. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 Privacy isn't only a business concern. Regular users also have financial information they may not want publicly exposed. Your salary. Your savings. Your purchases. The people you send money to. Having a public blockchain doesn't necessarily mean every part of your financial life should be easy for anyone to track. Good financial infrastructure should give users more control over what they reveal. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮 This is why I think Utexo's approach is interesting. It's not simply about creating another way to send USDT. It's about building the infrastructure around Bitcoin that could make stablecoins more useful for actual payments. If businesses can get: → Stablecoin payments → Fast settlement → Bitcoin-based infrastructure → RGB asset support → Better financial privacy then Bitcoin becomes much more practical as a payment environment. The next stage of stablecoin adoption won't only depend on how much money moves on-chain. It will also depend on whether businesses and ordinary people actually feel comfortable using it. And privacy is going to be a big part of that conversation. @Lyt_web3
