🔐 The question almost no one asks until it's too late: Where are your crypto REALLY?
If your answer is "on the exchange," this post is for you.
"Not your keys, not your coins" is not just a catchy phrase. It's the difference between having full control of your money... or depending on a company not collapsing, freezing your account, or getting hacked.
Here are 4 basic rules everyone with crypto should follow:
1️⃣ Cold wallet for the long term. If you're not going to move those funds soon, take them off the exchange. A physical wallet (Ledger, Trezor) keeps your private keys offline, away from hackers.
2️⃣ Never share your seed phrase. Not with "technical support," not with anyone. If someone asks for it, it's a scam. Period.
3️⃣ 2FA with an app, not SMS. SIM swapping is more common than you think. Use Google Authenticator or Authy, not your phone number.
4️⃣ Divide and conquer. Don't put everything on a single exchange or single wallet. Diversification applies to where you store your assets too.
💬 And now the real question: Do you have your crypto in a cold wallet, or are you still trusting the exchange? Tell me your experience (or your scare) in the comments 👇
⚠️ This is not financial advice, it's basic prevention that would have saved millions of people a lot of money.
