If you want to use bitcoin as the world's default currency and you want to prevent destructive deflation, you have to have a supply that increases with the creation of goods and services. What you don't want is a money drought/money deserts, which has happened periodically throughout history. A currency with redeemability in gold or bitcoin can accomplish that. At present, bitcoin has roughly enough supply liquidity to price every widget in the economy in sats. In 25-50 years it won't. Something has to change on the monetary supply side. Usage as the means of exchange will increase bitcoin value as an asset, not institutional adoption. BTC to 1 million prices certain products out of the sat range of units of account. Entire supply chains need to be priced in it, from washers to screws.
