Bitcoin scarcity is becoming a math problem.

No major market update today—the setup hasn’t changed much. But the supply numbers are worth thinking about.

Around 20.07M $BTC have already been mined, leaving only a small fraction of the 21M maximum supply yet to be created.

And the headline supply doesn’t tell the whole story.

A meaningful amount of BTC is believed to be permanently lost, while a large portion sits untouched in long-dormant wallets. That means the amount of Bitcoin realistically available to buy is far smaller than 21 million.

Now add the other side of the equation:

Global money supply keeps expanding, while Bitcoin’s supply growth keeps slowing.

More capital competing for a scarce, increasingly illiquid asset creates a simple imbalance.

I’m not saying price only goes up—markets don’t work that neatly.

But if adoption continues while available BTC keeps shrinking, the long-term supply/demand equation becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.

Today, owning 1 BTC may already feel expensive.

Years from now, $1 million for a single BTC might not sound as crazy as it does today.
