I expected AEON’s agentic story to be mostly about AI agents spending crypto on their own.

Then I found myself more interested in what happens at the other end.

In Mexico, AEON can route digital-asset payments through SPEI, handling the crypto conversion while the merchant receives a familiar local bank transfer.

That feels almost backwards. The agent gets the futuristic experience; the merchant may barely notice crypto was involved.

I was thinking about that over coffee, and maybe this is the quieter challenge of agentic commerce: new intelligence on one side still has to meet very ordinary financial infrastructure on the other.

AEON also supports emerging agent-payment standards like x402, ERC-8004, A2A and MCP.

To me, the interesting question is whether these two worlds can stay invisible to each other as usage grows.

Has anyone actually seen that handoff feel seamless in practice?
