$ONDO just bounced from the $0.3403 level; now it has completed its correction, technically. A new high from here is likely, but will the foundation's internal crisis affect this move?
The $0.3403 - $0.3430 zone where $ONDO just found its low is the same level that acted as the launchpad for the rally that took price from the $0.30s up to $0.42 in mid-July, meaning this bounce is a retest of that old breakout level.
Now, holding this zone would keep the broader uptrend structure technically alive after a sharp multi-week pullback from the July highs. However, the 4H MACD is still bearish and hasn't turned, and RSI is oversold. Also, ONDO’s founder passed on, and the foundation elected a new CEO, but it appears the mother of the late founder wants to seize power for herself.
Ondo Finance founder, Nathan Allman, died unexpectedly in late May at age 32, and President Ian De Bode was named CEO in the immediate aftermath. Court filings revealed this week show Allman's mother, Kathleen Allman, suing in Delaware Chancery Court as the personal representative of her son's estate, seeking De Bode's removal and control of the company.
Ondo oversees roughly $3.5-$3.8 billion in tokenized real-world assets, including the USDY stablecoin and OUSG treasury products used by institutional partners, and a live legal dispute over who actually controls the company adds a governance risk that technical analysis alone can't price in.
Markets shrugged off Allman's death itself back in May with only a modest reaction, but an active control fight reopening that uncertainty months later is a different kind of overhang, one that could weigh on institutional confidence in Ondo's roadmap regardless of how clean the support bounce looks on the chart.
So, $ONDO is technically ready for new highs, but the fundamental power tussle might not let it run in the meantime.
