$NEAR is starting to climb back gradually. Here are levels to watch out for.

$NEAR is climbing on a short-term ascending trendline, making higher highs and higher lows all the way. Currently at $1.74, the 4H MACD and RSI are signaling modest bullish momentum, with the token’s recovery being steady in the past few days.

$NEAR broke down from a July uptrend near $2.05, fell to $1.8543 support, and briefly ranged around this price level before rejecting it and pushing further down to $1.55, where it eventually found a bottom.

Since that low, #NEAR has climbed steadily along a rising trendline, reclaiming $1.65, $1.70, and now sitting right at $1.7658. The next real hurdle is $1.8543, which has already rejected NEAR twice in the past 2 months.

On the fundamental side, NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin has put forward a proposal for what he's calling a protocol sovereign fund: A mechanism that would use ecosystem revenue to buy and hold NEAR rather than simply burning tokens, then use the yield generated from those holdings to fund public goods like network security, the Validator Support Program, and MPC providers.

The protocol treasury would launch with roughly 30 million NEAR, worth about $53M at current prices, with governance handled through the House of Stake system. Polosukhin drew a comparison to sovereign wealth funds and university endowments that convert cyclical revenue into productive, yield-generating assets.

Back on the technical side, $NEAR needs to clear and flip the $1.8543 price level with a positive-but-not-oversold MACD and RSI. A break above $1.8543 would be the first time that level hasn't held as resistance since the breakdown last month, opening room back toward $2.00.

However, if $1.7658 or $1.8543 holds as major resistance, it wouldn't be surprising to see $NEAR fall below $1.7 to find support around $1.636. Which do you think is a more plausible route for $NEAR? Flipping $1.85 or being rejected again?
