3 August 2026 Market update: Bitcoin is holding a familiar range this morning, trading around US$63,500 after chopping between US$62,475 and US$65,100 over the past few sessions. Friday's US spot Bitcoin ETF data showed a US$265.37 million daily net outflow, reversing Thursday's US$233.1 million inflow, though cumulative net inflows remain solid at US$51.32 billion and total net assets sit at US$76.29 billion, around 6.04% of Bitcoin's market cap. Key takeaway: short-term ETF flows are choppy day to day, but the multi-billion-dollar cumulative base built since launch hasn't gone anywhere. @ethereum told a different story. ETH ETFs added a net US$9 million on the day, led by @BlackRock's staked ETF product, and over the past 10 sessions Ethereum funds have added US$113.8 million against a US$27.6 million outflow from Bitcoin funds. Key takeaway: this kind of rotation between BTC and ETH ETFs is a normal feature of institutional positioning, not a signal to chase. Elsewhere, decentralised exchanges captured a record 24.14% of spot trading volume in July, with @solana's on chain activity leading the pack, and XRP ETFs extended a four-month inflow streak. Geopolitically, easing tension around the Strait of Hormuz took some heat out of oil markets over the weekend, with limited spillover into crypto. Key events this week: · CLARITY Act's narrow Senate window before recess · @circle's Q2 earnings · MARA earnings (6 Aug) · Concentrated token unlocks (ENA/AVAX/CONX/ZRO/KAITO) What to watch this week: whether Bitcoin can reclaim its 50-day EMA, which would open the door to a test of the low US$67,000s. Learning note: An EMA, or exponential moving average, is a rolling average of an asset's price that weights recent prices more heavily than older ones, so it tracks the current trend more closely than a simple average would. #Bitcoin #Ethereum #CryptoMarkets #ETF @BTCMarkets
