🚨 North Korea successfully recruited one of its developers at MetaMask. Consensys, the wallet’s developer, hired him without knowing he was operating under a false identity—Tyler Knapp. By the time his deception was uncovered, he had already gained access to the code of one of the most widely used wallets in the ecosystem. Once the threat was detected, the response was immediate: - Revocation of all the developer’s access - Suspension of product releases - Comprehensive audit of the source code The audit findings are reassuring. This incident serves as a reminder that the weakest link is not always technical—it can be through hiring.
