STRATEGY CEO SAYS $8K-$10K $BTC IS THE ONLY REAL DEBT RISK — FIRM REMAINS "LARGEST BUYER"
Strategy CEO Phong Le dropped a major statement in a Bloomberg TV interview: risks with the company's treasury model are only expected if Bitcoin falls to $8,000–$10,000, and his objective is to be "the largest buyer of Bitcoin for the foreseeable future."
The comments come after Strategy — the world's biggest Bitcoin holder — sold over $215 million worth of coins earlier this month and announced no new BTC purchases for nearly a month. That sparked concerns about the viability of the company's long-term strategy, given the mounting obligations from the capital and debt it issued to fund its Bitcoin accumulation.
Strategy's recent sales represent a small fraction of its overall holdings, but any sustained selling by the company presents a major risk to Bitcoin's price given the scale of its treasury. Le's remarks appear designed to reassure markets that the firm remains committed to its Bitcoin-first strategy despite the selloff.
