VanEck files for JitoSOL ETF: The first LST-backed ETF VanEck has submitted an S-1 application to the SEC for the JitoSOL ETF. If approved, it will be the first U.S. ETF backed by a liquid staking token. ① Key differentiator: Traditional SOL ETFs track price only. The JitoSOL ETF tracks both price and staking rewards. Investors gain not only price exposure to SOL but also automatically earn 7–8% annualized staking yield—effectively bundling a "stock ETF" with "bond-like income" into a single product. ② The regulatory environment is improving. In statements from May and August 2025, the SEC explicitly clarified that protocol staking and liquid staking (under specific structures) do not constitute securities offerings. SEC Chair Paul Atkins recently stated at Jackson Hole that he aims to "remove regulatory bottlenecks hindering innovation." ③ To be blunt: If approved, VanEck’s JitoSOL ETF will reshape the entire SOL ETF landscape. Currently, all 16 U.S.-based spot SOL ETFs are competing on price (Grayscale at 0.19%, Bitwise at 0.20%, Morgan Stanley at 0.14%). But the JitoSOL ETF offers a fundamentally different value proposition—not just "cheap SOL exposure," but "yield-generating SOL exposure." My take: This will trigger a wave of LST ETFs. Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, and others are already in line. Liquid staking tokens are transitioning from DeFi tools to regulated financial products—a shift far more significant than most realize. @solana @Solana_zh @JitoNetwork #JitoSOL #SolanaETF #LiquidStaking #VanEck
