Tokenization of real-world assets simply cannot be contained within a single chain. Liquidity remains fragmented across ecosystems, and different chains offer distinct advantages in speed, functionality, compliance features, and regulatory fit. As a result, meaningful scale requires operating across multiple chains while being able to securely move assets and value between them — the “shuffling” problem. Ripple and the XRP Ledger are addressing this by treating XRPL as a high-performance hub with fast finality, minimal fees, native token issuance, and a built-in DEX with AMM. At the same time, they’re building genuine multi-chain reach: RLUSD is natively issued on both XRPL and Ethereum, with further expansion to L2s and other chains via Wormhole. The EVM sidechain, connected through Axelar and Wormhole, enables interoperability with 80+ networks. This isn’t an attempt to force everything onto one ledger. It’s a more pragmatic model — anchor on a strong, compliant foundation while maintaining low-friction connections to other ecosystems when needed. For institutions that want to move real tokenization forward, the ability to handle issuance, custody, trading, and settlement more efficiently within this connected setup is a meaningful advantage. In a multi-chain world, reducing the operational burden of moving value across chains feels like the right direction. What do you think? #ripple
