Dubai's VARA Issues 50th VASP License to Tribe Tokenisation
Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) hit a historic milestone by officially issuing its 50th Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license, awarded to asset tokenization platform Tribe Tokenisation FZE. By crossing the 50-firm mark, Dubai’s standalone regulatory framework now boasts a higher number of licensed entities than rival hubs Singapore (37 Major Payment Institutions) and Hong Kong (13 licensed virtual asset platforms).
However, VARA officials have urged the market to distinguish between a headline license and operational scale. Out of the 50 licensed entities, a significant portion are still navigating controlled operational phases and completing final commercial rollouts. Despite this lag, the onboarding of heavy institutional broker-dealers like LTP and Web3 giants like Animoca Brands highlights VARA's undeniable magnetism for professional capital allocations.
