🔍 Blockchain security firm @coinspect has warned that thousands of #crypto wallets may be at risk due to a vulnerability dubbed "Ill Bloom" — affecting wallets across #Bitcoin, @ethereum, @0xPolygon, @trondao, @solana, and more. The issue stems from weak randomness during wallet creation, where poor number generators made seed phrases — and private keys — easier to guess than they should be. At least $5M has already moved from exposed wallets, including fresh transfers past Sunday. Wallets generated as early as 2018 are affected — and vulnerable wallets were still being created in recent weeks. Hardware wallet users appear safe for now, but those who generated seeds in lesser-known mobile apps face higher risk. Coinspect has released a wallet-checking tool to help users verify if their addresses are exposed.
