The biggest battle in crypto isn't Bitcoin vs Ethereum anymore. It's infrastructure vs applications.

For years, crypto debates revolved around which blockchain would dominate.

Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Layer 1 or Layer 2?

High TPS or decentralization?

Those conversations still matter but they're no longer where the most interesting competition is happening. The real race is increasingly about infrastructure.

Who provides the rails for tokenized assets?

Who becomes the preferred settlement layer for institutions?

Who builds the lending markets, payment networks, and compliance tools that businesses actually need?

Applications come and go, infrastructure tends to compound. Think about the internet, most people don't remember the websites that disappeared twenty years ago. They remember the infrastructure companies that quietly powered everything behind the scenes. Crypto may be entering a similar phase, protocols building reliable infrastructure could create more lasting value than projects chasing the next narrative. Markets often celebrate the application, history usually rewards the infrastructure.
