Reading letters off a brain signal is hard enough. Reading what someone is actually trying to say is a different category of problem entirely, and it's the one that matters most. For someone who's lost the ability to speak because of a brain injury or condition, this isn't really a technical milestone. It's closer to getting a voice back.
