Standard Chartered predicts Aave’s token will rise 50-fold by 2030, targeting $3,500. The same report sets Bitcoin’s target at $500,000 and Ethereum’s at $40,000. These reports aren’t meant for traders—they’re aimed at asset management clients. Standard Chartered is promoting tokenized asset custody and lending services; Aave is merely the showcase window they’ve chosen. Aave V4 is bringing traditional bonds and stocks on-chain, while Standard Chartered itself is testing on-chain credit. Raising the token price is essentially a marketing tactic to attract customers to their RWA infrastructure. But the 50x prediction relies on an implicit assumption: that the on-chain lending market will capture even a fraction of traditional finance by 2030. There is currently no data supporting this assumption. Aave’s current TVL stands at around $20 billion, most of which remains crypto-native assets, with RWA accounting for a negligible share. To achieve a 50x increase, TVL would need to exceed $1 trillion, and Aave would have to maintain its market share. Institutional research reports often issue bullish price targets during periods of low asset prices—they create narratives, not signals. The risk lies here: if RWA onboarding progresses slower than expected, or if regulators impose limits on on-chain credit, such reports could become contrarian indicators. What truly matters is Aave V4’s real-world adoption data—not the pie charts drawn by Standard Chartered. $btc #aave #eth #v4 #defi
