I used to think disagreements happened because people did not have enough information. Give them the facts, I thought, and the disagreement disappears. I was wrong. The arguments that actually wasted my time were never about missing facts. They were about judgment calls nobody had agreed on in advance. Was the work "good enough"? Did the delay count as a real excuse? Two reasonable people could look at the same situation and land in completely different places, and no spreadsheet was going to fix that. That is the part of the world code has never been able to touch. A blockchain can check if a number matches a number. It cannot tell you if something feels finished, fair, or true. So for years, anything subjective just got pushed back to humans, courts, or whoever had the most power in the room. @GenLayer is the first thing I have seen that takes that problem seriously instead of avoiding it. It works as an adjudication layer: validators, each running a different AI model, look at the same situation independently and vote on an answer. If they do not agree, the set rotates and the question gets looked at again, through a process called Optimistic Democracy, until the network actually settles on something defensible. What strikes me is not the technology itself, it is what it admits. It admits that "did this meet the bar" is a real question that deserves a real process, not a shortcut. As AI agents start making commitments to each other at machine speed, that question is not going away. It is going to show up constantly, and something will need to answer it fast enough to keep up. Curious what this brings up for you: what's a disagreement in your own work that never had a clear rule, only a judgment call?
