AI DATA CENTERS’ WATER USAGE IS FAR LOWER THAN EXPECTED Nvidia says data centers use about 0.2% of daily U.S. water. New liquid cooling systems can heavily reduce water use by replacing traditional cooling towers with closed-loop systems that recycle coolant instead of evaporating water. These systems are also more efficient and can reuse waste heat for things like heating buildings in the future.
