T. Rowe Price: The SEC approved NYSE Arca's proposed rule change on June 14 to list and trade shares of the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF, ticker TKNZ. The actively managed fund targets 5 to 15 digital assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, with no fixed index to track. T. Rowe Price manages over $1.8 trillion in assets. No trading start date is confirmed — the rule approval is a precondition, not the launch itself. CFTC: The Division of Market Oversight issued a no-action letter on June 12 allowing CFTC-registered designated contract markets to convert existing perpetual-style digital commodity futures into true digital commodity perpetual futures by removing expiration dates. The relief was issued after direct requests from Bitnomial Exchange and Coinbase Derivatives. Exchanges must solicit feedback from participants with open positions, provide at least five calendar days advance notice, allow position exits under existing terms, and certify compliance with CFTC Regulations 40.5 or 40.6. Relief expires June 30, 2026. It does not apply to offshore venues or non-digital-commodity assets.
