32 teams are making it to the next round out of 48 teams competing in the World Cup. There's a very very low chance that all top nations wouldn't make it past the group stages. All a nation has to do is win one match in the group stages and try not to lose by a huge margin in the other games and the team would qualify to the next round. Should be an interesting World Cup 2026.
